Exploring a new village today. Joe’s Hardware, the first sign shown, started my day observing great type design and art. Cafe Des Artistes was behind the art gallery and Mike, the owner of the cafe, said it was modeled after a cafe in New York City. After my muffin and mocha, I needed to see the mural inside. “Of course, you could take a photo. Only if you can name all the artists,” said Mike. Not as easy as I thought.

It was one of those lovely days, browsing, eating, writing, and talking to the friendly locals. A slice of life that stands out amongst mundane routine.
